Fall 2022 Construction Updates
The VIDA community is bustling as Texas A&M-San Antonio students and faculty return from their summer break. While they were away, VIDA continued to come alive, with new roads completed, homes coming out of the ground, and progress on parks and trails.
Going Vertical
VIDA’s first single family homes are now underway, with the first homes planned for move-in by late 2022. Model homes for each builder are expected to be completed this fall. Visit each builder’s page for more details on availability, cost and floor plans.
A Healthy Community is a Happy Community
Last year, University Health announced the purchase of 70 acres on the VIDA campus. With plans to add a hospital, medical office buildings and the newly-named Bexar County Division of Public Health, University Health will meet the long overdue demand for a quality healthcare hub for San Antonio’s Southside. Here in VIDA, healthy living includes easy access to wellness care and beyond.
Trails Grand Opening
We could all spend a little bit more time in the great outdoors, especially as temperatures cool. The trail system at VIDA will wind along the Madla Greenway, and down to the A&M campus. When these are complete, you can walk (or bike) from your home to Texas A&M – San Antonio and then soon to your favorite coffee shop in the Town Center. Our trail system is just one way that VIDA is committed to being a sustainable and healthy community.
The first phase of the Madla Greenway will celebrate a grand opening on October 11th – mark your calendar and join us at University Way and Mitra Way.
Que Pasa, Y’all!
Just because we are under construction doesn’t mean we aren’t having fun. VIDA will once again team up with Texas A&M – San Antonio to host various events for students, faculty, staff, and the surrounding community throughout the school year. Have an event coming up? Tag us on social media (@livevida) or email us the details so we can share it!
