Tell us about yourself and your business
A group of us, who grew up here in San Antonio, collectively teamed up to open Tandem. We wanted to create a place for the community with a relaxed vibe, amazing coffee, and great beer selections. We are a place that supports the arts, small businesses, entrepreneurs, bicyclists and all things local!
What makes San Antonio special to you and your business?
We are incredibly fortunate to be located right off the San Antonio River at 310 Riverside Drive! The Mission Reach is one of the best bike trails in the state and we are proud that we can see it from our back patio. The easy access to the historical missions is incredible.
What is your favorite part of your business?
The people. The people on the Southside are the most down to earth, genuine, and nicest people in the city! We love serving the community who support us everyday.
What makes the Southside unique compared to other parts of San Antonio?
There is so much more history and culture tucked away in this side of town than most people know. We invite everyone to explore the hidden gems and restaurants in the area. Check out VIDA’s other Makers & Shakers highlights here.
What does your typical day on the Southside look like?
We open early every day for coffee and breakfast. We kick back and let our customers come in and enjoy our shop while we listen to good music and have warm conversations with our guests. We also host events and live music.
