A Night in Old San Antonio (NIOSA)

Where: La Villita Arts Village
A Night in Old San Antonio is a four-night festival taking place in the city’s historic downtown neighborhood of La Villita. Every year, the celebration honors San Antonio’s rich cultural history for more than 85,000 attendees.
Entertainment in the different themed areas of the event include the Chris Lopez Band, Dukes of Cool, Eurofest, Karizma, Celsius, Passing Strangers and more!
It should go without saying that many festival goers attend the event for the food, with over 40 restaurants serving up their best dishes. From classic San Antonio fare like chicken-on-a-stick and gorditas to daring new international cuisine, there is something for everyone to enjoy. You too can help maintain the Puro San Antonio reputation by taking part in the annual Brooks celebration on the Southside. You’ll find tacos, dancers from around the world, and plenty of local food, music and craft booths to keep you entertained throughout the day. Put your chancla throwing abilities to the ultimate test with games and activities that pay homage to this essential regional tradition. Or just enjoy cold cervezas while you listen to music and take in the sights of this year’s fiesta.

Where: Texas A&M University-San Antonio / VIDA San Antonio
The Festival de Cascarones is a special outdoor Fiesta San Antonio event with live music, family-friendly activities, a Fiesta marketplace and a variety of food booths managed by students from Texas A&M University San Antonio. The event offers students the opportunity to raise money while also gaining critical experience in event planning, marketing, hospitality, food service, and more. Where: San Antonio Zoo
Come celebrate Latin America’s animals, culture, and cuisine during this two-day event. This festival focuses on the animals native to South and Central America, as well as our efforts to preserve them. Guests will also have the ability to sample some of the cuisines from Latin America at select eateries across the zoo. Live dance performances and animal chats round out the day of fun.
