NEW HOMES ON THE HORIZON
Great progress is being made on the first single-family homes at VIDA. Over 50 homes are now under construction and another 35 are approved for construction beginning this fall. Homes range in size and price, starting in the $230s. Constructed by award winning Highland Homes, Perry Homes and Lennar, homebuyers can build and customize their future home, or purchase one currently under construction. All builders are offering end-of-year incentives and mortgage rate discounts to make it easier to own your home at VIDA today.
Some homes will be ready for move-in before the end of the year. To see home plans and available homes, visit the interactive map, or visit the community in person for a tour anytime between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m.
VIDA’s FIRST TRAIL IS NOW OPEN
On October 11, VIDA invited the public to celebrate the opening of the first mile of the Madla Greenway. The new trail, made from recycled asphalt, is now open to the public and is a short walk from Texas A&M University-San Antonio (TAMU). The University’s Department of Life Sciences has partnered with VIDA to invite students to use the greenway as a living lab by studying soils, water quality and various habitats.
VIDA has also collaborated with the Mitchell Lake Audubon Center and San Antonio River Authority to create signage that provides educational information about the Greenway’s history, environmental impact and bird migratory paths.
The first park in the VIDA community, Ana Park, is slated to be completed by Thanksgiving 2022, and will feature a playground, field and shaded seating area. Additional trails and community spaces are slated for inclusion in Phase 2 of VIDA, which is located across from the new Madla Greenway trail and planned for completion in Spring of 2023.
