New San Antonio Trail: Madla Greenway

Nature Nurtures VIDA

Step into a landscape shaded by old-growth oaks winding along a seasonal creek. Enjoy shaded seating on boulders beside a welcoming walking trail as you explore the Madla Greenway, a scenic loop at the heart of VIDA San Antonio.

With a public trailhead on University Way, the Madla Greenway offers a tranquil, shaded path that will eventually expand to a 2-mile loop, connecting with other trails throughout the area.

The award-winning Madla Greenway connects VIDA residents to each other, the Texas A&M-San Antonio campus, the town center, and pool and clubhouse. It can be accessed via trailheads throughout the community or publicly on University Way. The Greenway will eventually extend to a 2-mile loop, linking to other area trails.

Nature Based Design

The Madla Greenway reflects VIDA’s commitment to enhancing community connections through its partnership with the San Antonio River Authority. This low-impact design minimizes environmental disruption by utilizing natural features to manage stormwater runoff. The greenway promotes local biodiversity while providing residents with recreational opportunities and easy access to nature, ultimately fostering a vibrant community that prioritizes quality of life.
