Residents gather in Ana Park for VIDA's 2 Year Anniversary

VIDA Celebrates 2 Years

VIDA celebrated its two-year anniversary at Ana Park with over 100 residents in attendance, enjoying ice cream, a bouncy house, and games. This was one of the many gatherings where residents could connect and bond with their neighbors. VIDA proudly recognized several milestones and achievements:

VIDA’s First Public Art Installed

Wanderlust Ironwork artists stand next to their new sculpture at VIDA San Antonio

VIDA’s first public art is now installed! Located in one of Phase 2s parks, the 12’ sculpture is the first of many that will be located throughout the community.

It Takes All Kinds” is designed to evoke feelings of nostalgia and joy in children and adults. Standing 11 feet tall and 14 feet wide, the sculpture is made from rolled steel pipes sourced from a Houston shipyard and is painted in bright colors—orange, yellow, teal, purple, and green—to reflect the diversity of San Antonio’s neighborhoods.

Wanderlust Ironworks has crafted a piece that adds aesthetic value to the community and embodies the values of diversity and collaboration. The sculpture’s playful design and vibrant colors are intended to bring joy to all who see it, emphasizing the importance of unity within the community.
