It’s that time of year again when we come together to celebrate the holidays as a community. Lights of Esperanza is a beloved holiday lighting event held annually on the Texas A&M – San Antonio campus. Happening Tuesday, November 29, from 6 to 8 p.m.–this free, family-friendly event celebrates the joy of the holiday season in the heart of the city’s Southside. VIDA will once again support the signature event with fun and festive activities for the whole family throughout the VIDA plaza.
Lights of Esperanza is now in its seventh year and VIDA is honored to continue to be part of the tradition. The entire community is invited to come together in the spirit of the season to enjoy 30,000 lights, food trucks, live entertainment, a holiday market and a light show in the courtyard. Join us for the countdown as we light the night and ring in the holiday season, starting at 6 p.m.
If you are looking for other family-friendly festivities, San Antonio has a lot to offer. Starting November 25, The Alamo will be decorated with festive lights, and Alamo Plaza will host a variety of events for the community and visitors.
The iconic River Walk will also ignite its lights starting November 25. The event will be televised, and you will be able to experience over 100,000 lights adorning the trees throughout downtown until January 9.
We hope you join us at VIDA and throughout the city as we kick off the holiday season in San Antonio. For the latest about VIDA and its community events, follow along on social media @livevidasa.
