VIDA San Antonio has started to build momentum this Summer! With new homes now being built in phase one of construction, VIDA is ready to welcome its first residents by the end of the year. Read on to learn more about construction updates and advancement in community partnerships.
The first homes at VIDA are currently under construction and are selling quickly. Highland Homes are now on sale, with Perry Homes becoming available for purchase in August and Lennar Homes to follow. In addition to single family homes, spec homes are also in the beginning stages of construction and will be available by the end of the year. VIDA’s duplexes and apartment complexes are also slated to begin construction in the fall and should be available for rent by fall of 2023.
VIDA will be home to many outdoor spaces for gatherings and activities. The Zócalo, which will serve as the community gathering hub of VIDA, is currently in the approval process. Groundbreaking for this project is currently on track to occur later this year. Trailmarkers and maps will soon be installed at the Madla Greenway, and an exciting partnership with Texas A&M University – San Antonio researchers will help to monitor habitat and water quality.
The University Health addition is one of the biggest and most resourceful projects to come to VIDA. This new medical region at VIDA will include a hospital, medical specialty and doctors offices, and the Bexar County Public Health headquarters. Plans for these buildings are expected to be launched in the coming year.
